Get ready for the ultimate Corvette road trip! The Lone Star Corvette Club is hitting the open road for a nostalgic journey from Dallas, Texas to Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin for the legendary Road America race.
Our route takes us along stretches of iconic Route 66, where we’ll soak in Americana charm, make stops at classic roadside attractions, and overnight in nostalgic motels that capture the spirit of the open highway.
On our way north, we’ll roll into Milwaukee to pay tribute to another American legend with a visit to the Harley-Davidson Museum, before continuing on to Wisconsin’s scenic countryside.
The adventure builds to the main event—Road America, where Corvettes meet the curves of one of America’s most celebrated race tracks. From roaring engines to rolling hills, this is a trip packed with horsepower, history, and heartland hospitality.

The drive from Dallas to Locust Grove takes you from the bustle of the big city into the rolling hills and scenic beauty of northeast Oklahoma.
Along the way, you’ll experience wide-open highways, charming small towns, and a taste of true Americana before arriving in Locust Grove—known for its warm hospitality, peaceful countryside, and as a gateway to the Ozarks.

Traveling from Springfield, Missouri to Springfield, Illinois along Route 66 is a classic road trip through the heart of America.
The journey is filled with nostalgic stops—vintage diners, quirky roadside attractions, and small-town gems—that bring the Mother Road’s history to life. Each stop offers a taste of Americana before arriving in Illinois’ capital city, another Route 66 landmark.

Chicago is a dream stop for car enthusiasts and food lovers alike. Visit the Klairmont Kollections Automotive Museum, showcasing over 300 rare and vintage cars, or take a scenic drive down Lake Shore Drive with skyline and lakefront views that make every mile unforgettable. When it comes to food, the city delivers—dig into deep-dish pizza, Chicago-style hot dogs, and endless culinary gems. Whether it’s horsepower or flavor, Chicago has it all.

Winding the roads to our ultimate destination, we will take time to explore Harley Davidson and other iconic stops in the area.
Our journey ends on the ultimate high note—race day at Road America! Nestled in the rolling hills of Elkhart Lake, this legendary track is where speed, precision, and passion come alive.
We’ll take in the sights, sounds, and pure adrenaline of the IMSA Sports Car Championship, cheering on the Corvette Racing teams.

Based on current pricing, your lodging for this trip is $1,883 which includes taxes and local fees. We will only charge what the hotel charges at the time of booking. There are no additional fees added.
An optional add-on evening in the beginning of our trip (Friday evening) is available.
Once registration for the Cheese, Curves and Corvettes tour opens, you will have a menu of activities available for each stop to choose from. These prices will be listed as per person and will be inclusive of taxes. Again, no additional fees are added to any trip options.
Currently, all meals are on your own and recommendations will be provided for each stop on the trip. We are exploring options for 1 - 2 group dinners and will provide details as those are available.
As an additional benefit, we will be traveling with you as your trip host. While we do not anticipate any issues arising, we will be available and onsite if something were to arise.
Trip protection insurance will be available for an additional fee upon booking. We can provide details and pricing at that time.
